About Us

The church of Christ which meets on Reel Road in Longview, TX, is a group of Christians making every effort to follow the divinely-revealed pattern of the New Testament church. We are not part of any “denomination” or earthly hierarchy. We follow the Bible alone as our full, sufficient authority.

To us, “Church of Christ” is not just a name on the road sign: it is a literal description of what we are, an assembly belonging to Christ – Christ’s church. We bear this name also because it is one of the names that can be found in Scripture (Rom. 16:16) which would not serve to confuse us with other “denominations” (like Church of God, Assembly of God, etc.).
